1 Submission Requirements
Manuscripts should be formatted and edited in strict accordance with the journal’s requirements for formatting, figures, tables, formulas, and references available in the “Downloads”.
Manuscripts should feature clear arguments, reliable data, rigorous logic, concise language, and strong readability. Each manuscript includes the title, author names, affiliations, locations(city and postal code), abstract, and keywords in both Chinese and English, as well as the Chinese Library Classification(CLC) number, body text, references, and author biographies.
1.1 Title The Chinese title should generally not exceed 20 Chinese characters, and subtitles are usually not recommended. The English title should be semantically consistent with the Chinese title.
1.2 Abstract The abstract should be informative, elucidating the research purposes, methods, results, and conclusions. They should be independent and self-explanatory (generally no less than 150 words). The abstract should avoid redundant information already present in the title or introduction. Figures, tables, formulas, and reference numbers should not be included. The English abstract should be consistent with the Chinese version and meet academic writing standards.
1.3 Keywords At least four Chinese keywords should be provided using standardized terminology. English keywords should correspond with the Chinese keywords,and full forms must be provided for English abbreviations.
1.4 Body Text Manuscripts should generally not exceed 10,000 words, including the introduction, discussion/analysis, results, and conclusion. The introduction should delineate the fundamental research background, particularly citing achievements from the past two years. It should reflect the essence and scope of the problem, review relevant literature, describe observation methods, and summarize major findings. Conclusions should be derived from observations and experimental results rather than a simple reiteration of findings. conclusions and viewpoints should be clear and objective. Foreign abbreviations(except for universally recognized ones) should be accompanied by a Chinese translation or the full foreign term at first mention.
1.5 Quantities and Units All quantities and units should comply with the latest national legal units of measurement. Foreign characters should be clearly distinguished by case(upper/lower), style(upright/italic), weight (bold/regular), and positioning(superscript/subscript). For formula input and editing, please refer to the specific requirements in the “Downloads”.
1.6 Figures and Tables Figures and tables should be self-explanatory, concise, and clear, following the journal’s formatting standards. Text, symbols, and coordinate values should be legible and consistent with the body text. Figures should have high resolution and clear contrast. Tables should adopt the three-line format. All numerical values in figures and tables should be labeled with clear quantities and units.
1.7 References The references should be recorded in strict accordance with the formatting requirements in the “Downloads”. Priority should be given to recent literature(within the past three years) from domestic and international sources. The references should be primary sources published in formal publications and read by the authors. The journal adopts the sequential coding system, with reference numbers ordered by their appearance in the text and cited accordingly. Generally, a minimum of eight references should be cited.
1.8 Author Biographies and Fund Projects Please provide author biographies in the footer of the first page of the manuscript, including name, year of birth, gender, native place, degree, and professional title. For fund projects, please specify the project type and grant number.
2 Submission Terms
2.1 Online Submission Submissions are accepted via the journal’s website(Path: Hefei University of Technology Homepag→Scientific Research→Academic Journals→Natural Science Edition; URL: http://xbzzs.hfut.edu.cn). Authors can register and follow the steps to submit. Manuscripts undergo preliminary review by the editorial department before being sent for peer review. Authors can track the progress and results through the submission system. Manuscripts rejected during preliminary review or deemed unsuitable for publication by experts will not be reconsidered; authors are encouraged to submit elsewhere.
2.2 Responsibility Authors are solely responsible for the content(including political, academic, and confidential aspects), though the editorial department reserves the right to make technical and linguistic edits. Manuscripts should be formatted and edited in strict accordance with the journal’s requirements for formatting, figures, tables, formulas, and references available in the “Downloads”. Both the original and the review versions should be in Word format(.doc/.docx); Please ensure that all author-related information is removed from the review version.
2.3 Fees and Remuneration Upon passing the preliminary review, a review fee of 200 RMB per paper is charged. Once published, remuneration will be paid per article, and two complimentary copies of the current issue will be provided. High-quality papers are eligible for preferential remuneration.
2.4 Copyright and Databases The journal has joined the China Academic Journals(CD Edition), China Journal Net(CNKI), Wanfang Data—Digital Journal Group, VIP Information Resource System, and “Xinhua Net-Academic China” platform. The remuneration paid to authors includes copyright usage fees for these platforms. Any objections should be declared upon submission for appropriate handling.
2.5 Academic Integrity As a partner unit of the Academic Misconduct Literature Check(AMLC2) system, the journal reserves the right to conduct plagiarism checks on all submissions.
