Abstract and Keywords

Abstract: Zinc homeostasis is closely related to reproductive health. Based on the model of Drosophila, it was found that Catsup gene silencing specifically in the microenvironment of Drosophila ovarian germ stem cells affected the expression of ovarian collagen, and then affected the ovarian structure and reproductive capacity. Further studies showed that the reproductive dysfunction caused by Catsup knockdown was due to the decrease of zinc level in cytoplasm. This study provides theoretical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of reproductive problems caused by zinc deficiency, which is of significance.

Keywords: Drosophila; Catsup gene; zinc; ovary; reproduction; collagen
