百里醌对化学诱导的溃疡性结肠炎的保护作用

摘要

百里醌(thymoquinone,TQ)是从黑种草种子中提取的一种天然化合物,被证实具有抗氧化、抗肿瘤、抗炎等效果,对辐射等外部因素引起的肠炎具有治疗作用。文章利用经典模式生物果蝇研究发现,TQ对野生型果蝇的寿命具有提升作用。此外,采用化学物葡聚糖硫酸钠(dextran sodium sulfate,DSS)诱导果蝇溃疡性结肠炎(ulcerative colitis,UC)模型,研究TQ对肠道炎症的保护作用,结果表明,TQ能显著提高DSS诱导的UC模型果蝇的生存率与攀爬能力,并改善DSS暴露导致的成虫肠道形态及肠壁损伤。因此TQ摄入能够明显缓解DSS诱导的UC。

Protective effect of thymoquinone on chemically induced ulcerative colitis

Abstract

Thymoquinone(TQ) is a natural compound extracted from black grass seeds, which has been proved to have antioxidant, anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory effects, and has therapeutic effects on enteritis caused by external factors such as radiation. In this work, the classical model organism Drosophila melanogaster was studied, and it was found that TQ could improve the life span of wild Drosophila melanogaster. In addition, the protective effect of TQ on intestinal inflammation in Drosophila melanogaster ulcerative colitis(UC) model induced by dextran sodium sulfate(DSS) was investigated. It was found that TQ could significantly improve the survival rate and climbing ability in Drosophila melanogaster UC model induced by DSS, and improve the intestinal morphology and intestinal wall injury of adults induced by DSS exposure. To sum up, TQ intake can obviously alleviate DSS-induced UC.
